    US Marine Corps Lt. Robert L. Thieme grouping: WWI Victory medal with four campaign stars and a silver star (silver star citation), Marksmanship badge named on the reverse with Marksman lanyard; Medal with notice of valor award of the French Croix-de-Guerre (he wrote that his command had notified him that he was to receive the Distinguished Service Cross in a letter to his parents) for going over the top, being wounded and capturing three German soldiers; EGA insignia; Photographs of his fellow Marines including a Medal of Honor recipient .
