Billy Carwile US Army Special Forces 1970s-1990s…Billy Carwile served a tour of duty in Vietnam with the US Navy in the Brown Water Navy Swift Boats then joined the Army after his enlistment ended. He remained in the US Army serving with US Special Forces for the remainder of his 20 year career. His service included several tours on SF ODAs in Central and South America training and leading indigenous soldiers. Retired Master Sgt. Billy Price Carwile, 59, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007.
Mr. Carwile was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War with more than 20 years of service, including 15 years with the 7th Special Forces Airborne Group.
