Imperial Japanese Army Helmet with Cover and Net #27
Imperial Japanese Army helmet with cloth cover and camouflage net with a photo of the soldier’s family as found inside the helmet after a firefight…A fine standard Army helmet with yellow star sewn to the cloth cover…The photo which had been tucked underneath the leather liner shows the young Japanese soldier’s family-a poignant reminder that war souvenirs originally belonged to real people who lived and died for their respective countries…Inside the liner is hand stitched Soto Mura which I believe is the soldier’s last name…Photo shows his wife with children whose names and ages are on the reverse.
